Tourists Trapped by Out Of Control Democrats in Cooke City

"The park road from Gardiner, Montana to Silver Gate and Cooke City, is being kept open, but residents only—not tourists—have special passes to allow them through the locked gates. “We're trapped,” Bill Anderson told the Chronicle. “It's nuts.” Anderson, of Wichita, Kan., is one about 15 tourists unable to leave Cooke City. They're reportedly spending a lot of time at Buns N Beds, the only business open in Cooke City besides the gas station.Owner of Buns N Beds, Leo Gaerther, who described Cooke City as a “ghost town,” says he's only staying open because of the trapped tourists and locals."

Liberals are so gosh darned proud they're busting their buttons. And these are the people who want to be in charge of your health care. Not mine, mind you, but yours.

    With only two roads out.

One is closed because of snow and the other road closed because of the shut down.

    How would you drive out?

Sounds a lot like holding people against their will - kidnapping if you will. I would leave. What are they going to do? Shoot you? Completely ridiculous.
In quoting my post, you affirm and agree that you have not been goaded, provoked, emotionally manipulated or otherwise coerced into responding.

Put you in jail? Seize your vehicle? Park your car and drive you back to Cooke City? When you're in disfavor with the King, who knows what they will do. Consider what the TSA has done. The TSA was searching the wallet of a 70+ year old traveler and as the papers in the wallet were being opened and read he said, "Looking for a gun?" He was arrested, prosecuted, and plead guilty to saying what he said.

I might drive out, too, with reporters waiting if I could find any that didn't take orders from the government.

They should sue the feds for any lost wages and expenses caused by being held hostage by the Democrats.
Democrats believe that "politics is war by other means." And they are at war with America, with common sense and even common decency. Those who would mount an effective opposition had better have a high tolerance for slime, slander and abuse.

Yes, you can be arrested for leaving if you move the barricades but if people aren't willing to take that chance and to buck the system, the system will get a lot worse.

It's why the Soviet's lasted as long as they did. People let them get away with more and more until finally you couldn't say or do anything out of line unless you wanted to be hauled off to the Gulags.

They arrested a truckload of vets for going past the barricades

The vets did the right thing. They refused and got arrested. That's how it's done.
And if we should die tonight
Then we should all die together
Raise a glass of wine for the last time
Calling out father, prepare as we will
Watch the flames burn auburn on the mountain side
    Desolation comes upon the sky..

I have some free advice. If you see a story attributed to FOX you can be 99.9% certain it is untrue.

    Here's what really happened:

Here’s the deal. A group of 15 from outside the region had scheduled their annual trip to see the fall colors in Yellowstone. After the government shutdown last Tuesday, they were told they had to leave the Park. For some reason they headed to Cooke City instead of West Yellowstone or Gardiner; this time of year Cooke City is pretty much shut down, and with the Beartooth Highway closing early in 2013 because of snow, there’s only one way in or out during a shutdown: the Chief Joseph Highway. (Locals with a special permit are allowed to use the road between the North Entrance and the Northeast Entrance; tourists cannot.)
    http://yellowstoneinsider.com/2013/1...tone-tourists/

It is their own fault that they didn't leave the park when told. And it is the Republicans fault that the government is shutdown.
