Bus-Size Asteroid to Give Earth Close Shave Friday

    http://www.space.com/14373-asteroid-...rth-flyby.html

A small asteroid will make an extremely close pass by Earth Friday (Jan. 27), coming much nearer than the moon, but the space rock poses no danger of impacting our planet, NASA scientists say.
The newfound asteroid 2012 BX34, which is about the size of a city bus, will pass within 36,750 miles (59,044 kilometers) of Earth at about 10:30 a.m. EST (1530 GMT)

isn't this just great,, here we have an asteroid that comes withing 36K miles of the earth and no one warns us of it. amazing how our government can protect us from radical islamist but can't tell us when we are this close to getting creamed from out space.. got to love the mindset of these idiots.
The eastern world, it is exploding, violence flaring bullets loading. you are old enough to kill , but not for voting, this whole crazy world is just to frustrating, and you tell me over and over and over again my friend, you don't believe we are on the EVE of DESTRUCTION.

I saw stories about it; of course not on the MSM.

    This keeps happening!

Geez. I'm fairly convinced at this point that if an asteroid was charted to slam into us the government would keep it a secret as long as they could. I never really gave it too much thought, but I guess that may be the best way to avoid panic. Still, if we're all going to die it'd be nice to say goodbye to loved ones first.

I can't say that I'd blame them. Can you imagine the panic?
Whoever criticizes capitalism, while approving immigration, whose working class is its first victim, had better shut up. Whoever criticizes immigration, while remaining silent about capitalism, should do the same.

Yeah, but if we're going to die anyway what's the harm? Would you want to know ahead of time or just go on living your daily life right up until impact?

I guess the situation I'm not envisioning would be an impact that wouldn't be enough to kill everyone but one where our way of life would be significantly altered.

Honestly, yeah. BAM! It's over. Mister D is with Jesus and that's it.

I guess it depends on the size. I genuinely believe that the species would survive though if the impact didn't destroy the world.

Dinos were far less adaptable than we are, IMO.
