lots of people marched. but jews were the first ones down to register voters and march. you can like that or not or agree or not. but given jewish history, it was felt to be a moral imperative. that relationship didn't change until after the Bakke decision and the inflammatory rhetoric of people like jackson and farrakhan.

as for rev al, he has toned down the race baiting a bit. but he made a career out of dividing people for a while.

No one race is better than another, we're all individuals. I grew up with a ton of black and hispanic friends who enriched my life, and Farrakhan and other black and white nationalists would like to see the races segregated to prevent anything of the sort. I think it's an ignorant and borderline despicable message.

That said, he still is correct about a lot of things. He knows who really runs the country, he knows the Fed Reserve is the most powerful branch of government, he knows the wars are bull$#@!, he knows gun control hurts the black community, etc.
he said jews really run the country…. which is funny since the CEO's of most banks are white anglo saxon protestants.

last i checked no jew has ever been, or ever will be, president.

so what did he say that was true?

I'm speaking more of the power structure than the religion or race of said power structure. Bankers, the Fed Reserve, the military industrial complex, etc, run the country and the government, and he sees that. He might or might not have gotten the religion of said higher ups wrong, but he realizes the occupation of the shadow government.

you can't separate those things from his anti-semitism because his rhetoric was infected with it.

That's not what I'm saying. I'm being cautious and saying that it was blacks who started this years before anyone else joined in. It's their movement and they get credit for it.

That's all. Now I'll tiptoe out of the thread. ((tiptoes out))

He also doesn't like protestants (forgot to tiptoe) or catholics or atheists who are white. You can separate those things from what he said that is true. You don't have to like him--I personally don't--to see that what he says for blacks makes sense.

Why do you think blacks have come to resent Jews, Jillian? Why does this "rift" exist?
Whoever criticizes capitalism, while approving immigration, whose working class is its first victim, had better shut up. Whoever criticizes immigration, while remaining silent about capitalism, should do the same.

That still doesn't change the fact that we're run by bankers and the like. Whether they're Jewish or not.

and others will tell you the country is run by the military industrial complex….

the jewish meme is an inextricable part of the fantasy of farrakhan and anti-semites like him and if the word "bankers" is used, it's probably nothing but code.
