    Beer

I can't believe we don't have a beer thread. What are ya drinkin', what do ya like?

Here's a couple of IPAs, had the Sam Adams Juniper the other day from a variety pack. I don't think it's available as a stand alone. This was a very light IPA, and quite good. The Juniper berries added an unusual pine flavor. Alcohol content, 5.8%

Currently drinking a Commodore Perry IPA from Great Lakes Brewing Co. out of Cleveland. This is extremely hoppy, and not for the faint of heart. Pretty tasty as far as extremely hopped IPAs go. I like it, but it's not something I could drink all night. A little on the "high test" side at 7.5% abv. The beer is named after the war of 1812 hero Commodore Perry. https://www.greatlakesbrewing.com/up...rry%202012.pdf

I've given up on "craft" beer, beer snobs are ruining the industry. All over-hopped piss. Nobody understands style anymore, just hop the $#@! out of it and kids will throw money at it.

I won't drink Great Lakes for that reason.

Having said that I'm not impartial to hoppy beer. When I want an IPA I'll have one, but when I want a pale ale, most of the time I wind up with hoppy piss.

One of the better beers I've had is Gearys Hampshire Ale, out of Portland ME. Outstanding malty body, well hopped, all around balanced beer. I highly recommend it.

Typically I drink Yeungling. Good every day beer, switched to the lite a few months ago. It really ain't bad.

Joint up the road has Newcastle on tap, another good beer.

Don't get me started on green or clear bottles either.

I make my own beer too.

    I AM the authority!

I know how you feel about so called, "beer snobs". But I think that's only a reflection of your own personal taste. Many of us actually like very hoppy selections. And for those that don't, choices abound.

Yeungling Light lager is one of the few light beers I can stand. I pick up a 12 pack now and again when I'm feeling "healthy". That is now that you don't have to travel to PA to get it. I actually know guys that loved Yeungling so much, they would make the trip.

Nice color, and great graphics. For me, half the fun is the label graphics. Of course, vikings are always a winner. And 8.5%.....nice.

Yeungling Porter is very good also.

Magic Hat #9 also good, apricot is not a typical beer flavor.
