    Andrew Breitbart's Death Reported

    43!

Andrew Breitbart's news sites Big Journalism and Big Government, are reporting the death of their founder shortly after midnight in Los Angeles. "Andrew passed away unexpectedly from natural causes shortly after midnight this morning in Los Angeles," his sites report. Breitbart would be 43 this year. Asked to confirm the news, Joel Pollak, editor-in-chief of Breitbart.com, told The Atlantic Wire by email, "I can't tell you more than I have already, unfortunately. We'll know more later." Ben Howe, a Breitbart colleague, tweets that he has "personal confirmation" the news is legitimate and not a hoax as some on Twitter had initially suspected. "We have lost a husband, a father, a son, a brother, a dear friend, a patriot and a happy warrior," wrote Larry Solov in the announcement on Breitbart's sites.

Whoever criticizes capitalism, while approving immigration, whose working class is its first victim, had better shut up. Whoever criticizes immigration, while remaining silent about capitalism, should do the same.

Andrew recently wrote a new conclusion to his book, Righteous Indignation:
I love my job. I love fighting for what I believe in. I love having fun while doing it. I love reporting stories that the Complex refuses to report. I love fighting back, I love finding allies, and—famously—I enjoy making enemies.
Three years ago, I was mostly a behind-the-scenes guy who linked to stuff on a very popular website. I always wondered what it would be like to enter the public realm to fight for what I believe in. I’ve lost friends, perhaps dozens. But I’ve gained hundreds, thousands—who knows?—of allies. At the end of the day, I can look at myself in the mirror, and I sleep very well at night.

I never really knew much about him.

I saw him on O'Reilly a few times and I knew the name. He was like Drudge, right?

That's my sense of him yes - he was a website dude who's site got popular, but he became more involved in the news business as his profile rose. I don't think the traditional media realized those sites got huge because people needed places to go without the traditional biases.

The talking heads still have a snobbish attitude about them but it's to their own detriment.

I checked "Big Government" and "Big Journalism" every day. What a sad day.

Apparently, he just collapsed outside his home.

It's unclear what those natural causes were. A representative for the website did not immediately return a request for more information. According to the Associated Press, Breitbart collapsed while walking near his home in Brentwood. Paramedics could not revive him.
