All the Bushes are liberals, so was Ford. These are the people who turned the Republican Party into Democrat lite. Let me remind you that Junior not only got us into a totally useless war, he started yet another entitlement program, expanded the Department of Maleducation, and gave us the new Gestapo better known as the Department of Homeland Security.

A pox on all the Bushes!

It's why I stopped my subscription to National Review a few years back. They went neocon. I still read the online version here and there because they have some good writers (e.g. John Derbyshire) but the neocons have changed the party and the "conservative" philosophy substantially.

I think Romney is more electable than any of these other monkeys. I'm not a huge Romney fan, but he's a bit of a centrist. Jeb, Newt and Santorum are all extremists in one form or another - all righties though. Independents are more likely to vote for centrists, righties will generally always vote righty.

Sure if you love Republicrats, Romney is your guy. Why not just vote for Obama and let him take the fall for the same kinds of policies that Romney would support?

Tell us, do you know what the prototype for ObamaCare was?

Hint: Substitute "Romney" for "Obama" and you have your answer.

I understand Romney's role in governmental healthcare, thanks for the tip though.

It's one of several reasons that cool me off about the guy - I've never been a staunch supporter of Romney in any fashion. My history of dialogue on the guy here is testament to that.

My statement was a purely unbiased one and more of an observation. I'm suggesting, my politics aside, that Romney of all the GOP candidates is more electable.

Having said that, my ideal GOP candidate would be a purely fiscal conservative. Jeb could be that maybe, I don't know a lot about Jeb. Newt is kinda that to some degree but he brings too much baggage to the table. He's not a guy I would readily support but at the end of the day, save Santorum - I'm supporting anyone who opposes BO.

substitute those lions for jackals or hyenas and you would be more correct.. it seems the rebublican party is eating their own right now. I know it is a weeding out process but some of these attacks are downright uncalled for.
The eastern world, it is exploding, violence flaring bullets loading. you are old enough to kill , but not for voting, this whole crazy world is just to frustrating, and you tell me over and over and over again my friend, you don't believe we are on the EVE of DESTRUCTION.
