They are systematically destroying childhood for future generations.

So now instead of Dodgeball they get to play some exceptionally violent video game and kill and maim as many as they want.

When I was growing up the world was outside. That's where we lived when not in the classroom or caged for the evening. The rules were simple. You get home when you are supposed to and if you $#@! up out there you will be dearly sorry for it.

Exactly good health is related to mood and temperament. It's why you rarely see the school jocks blowing their brains out and its always the smart kids who will go on to be rich if they can hold out a little while longer

I went through basic in 1965. One of the rules that had just come in was the Company Commander could not lay his hands on you. So, what they would do is put their white hat over their hand and then smack you upside the head. Hey, no part of their hand actually touched you. Now of course the CC would be Court Martialed and stripped of his rank for being such a bully.

Uhhhh, you do realize that bootcamp ends and training in full uniform begins, right? Do you think we wear silkies on our hikes or navigation? 12 miles up and down a mountain with equipment isn't running in your asics.

There is also a reason, btw, for the asics. It's called malingering prevention.

But you can keep up the Billy Badass obviously you're having fun with it. Back in your day it probably snowed every day and you had to walk to school uphill both ways.

No rules sounds pretty cool, though. I wonder if they can bring knives and guns to school.
    You know what

Back in the day, We all had pocket knives in school and during hunting season about 90% of the boys cars had Guns in them.

Nobody ever got stabbed and nobody ever got shot.

So your logic is part of the problem! Not the solution, we keep trying liberal Looney solutions and things keep getting worse.! I think there might be a connection!

If you want your kid to be a wimp and not know how to function in life GREAT put them in a private school, But they need to know how to win, and lose and how to get scuffed knees from trying!

Have you ever seen my wrists? Obviously you haven't. They are unnaturally thin and small. I've sprained my wrists several times throughout my life and broke my wrist once. It has nothing to do with being "limp-wristed," it's just the way my wrists are constructed.

And for the record, I broke my wrist trying to play volleyball in P.E., not tryouts, and I broke it when I fell directly on top of it from about two feet in the air. Someone with normal wrists would have sprained or broken their wrists in the same circumstance.

Also, final point, you still need to work on your insults. Yours are entirely boring and completely unoriginal.

So you believe we don't get beat up anymore?

I had a gunny kick the $#@! out of me in the Pit for laughing. If I had hit him back I'd have been court martialed myself.

Every boy in grade school always had his pocket knife with him. And yes guns got taken to school. But the intent was showing them off and getting caught was not a police matter but a matter of the principle making your back side feel like a bonfire so that when you got home it would really hurt when your parents lit into you.
