More Important than Civilians?

I know lots of guys that have been in the military.

What stands out to me about military guys is that they are brainwashed into believing themselves to be above a civilian and different.

My Dad was in the military and he has told me about it. I have also seen evidence of this in the guys that I know that have been military. I know a guy that has semi recovered and is not such an arrogant jerk now.

What I hate about you guys is how you claim to be so hard because you are military and act like a guy like me should fear you. I do not. Tough guy.

I remember when I lived in Wagga Wagga everyone hated military guys. There is a training base in Wagga- Kapooka and that is where NSW guys go for basic training. My Dad was there. Everyone in Wagga hates military wankers. They come to town on time off and act like $#@!heads and there is always fights.

I know you military guys know what I am talking about.

Do you guys really believe you are more important than a civilian? You are above us are you? See to one of these guys 'civilian' is considered to be an insult.

Any military guys on here that have recovered from the brainwashing?



Military guys are the most hated wankers in all of Wagga. Easy. Are military as obnoxious and arrogant in USA? They seem worse to me.

I can't speak for Australian soldiers, but American soldiers are more important than American civilians, and I say this as a civilian. They put their lives on the line every day so that the American equivalent of $#@!s like you can treat them like $#@! freely. You can disagree with the way our governments use them all you want, I sure as hell do, but to treat the men and women of the military as anything less than the best of people is wrong. They do what you and I are unwilling to do. That makes them special.

If you don't like it, get your ass out there and do what they do. I bet you won't.

The 'troops' are a tiny tiny percent of western population. And the vast majority of westerners are against what they have done and ashamed of our nations. This is why UK would not support US in Syria. This would have been political idiocy. The public knows what happened.

But we also know that most that were recruited were poor and stupid. And we are civilized people. But no man wants to hear these wankers tell us how toygh and important they are.

Or that they are better than us for doing something that we strongly disagree with.

I feel bad for you if that is the way that your military acts, I have had the privilege of being around and training many of the military persons most of my life, and with rare exception, they consider themselves to be servants of the civilian population!

And if your military is made up of the weak and the stupid as you say, that would make sense. The US military however is not. The most humble people I know are some of the most highly trained people on the planet, though you would never know by there actions.

So if you get the tuff guy boasting of his power over you, I would say that you are right not to fear him! You would also be correct in not fearing those who truly have the heart of the servant, which I would say make up 99% of our military. You would do well to respect them however, and know you enough from this forum, I am sure that you do actually give them the respect that they deserve, even if it is out of fear, which is likely the case for you.

Not there are some contractors that have that arrogance about them, sad to say, I tried to never allow this among my employee's, and usually these contractors did not have any major jobs or really crappy missions. However I would say that it is a good idea to give the boasting contractor a lot of room, they lack the honor that our military personal have. And are not likely to suffer fools such as yourself!
