What Would You Get Spock For His Birthday?

I'm informed that Leonard Nimoy (famous for playing Spock in the original Star Trek series) recently had his 83rd birthday. This brings to mind a question: What would you get Spock for HIS birthday?

I think I'd go with the gift that keeps on giving: a tribble.

Nimoy has a place up in Tahoe, next to Jerry Seinfeld's. Picard (Patrick Stewart) just got married up there last summer.

For Nimoy, I'd get him a peddle kayak so he could go out on the lake and mind meld with Tahoe Tessie

Spock would say celebrating birthdays is illogical, but I'm sure he wouldn't turn down a state of the art tricorder.

He would also wind up in a verbal joust with the irritating, overly-dramatic Dr. McCoy, who would loudly lecture him concerning his vulcan lack of emotion over the whole affair. Their jousts are my favorite parts of the show.

Good point. Spock would not appreciate so much attention being focused on the one. The needs of the many outweigh the needs of the few. His positioned softened upon that over time, influenced by Kirk, and Spock eventually was able to allow for something he formerly could never tolerate: a paradox. In his later years, he might have understood the reason for a bd party.

    The Wrath of Khan
[Spock slowly walks over to the glass and pushes the intercom]
    Spock: Ship out of danger?
    Kirk: Yes.
Spock: Don't grieve, Admiral. It is logical. The needs of the many, outweigh...
Kirk: The needs of the few.
Spock: Or the one. I never took the Kobayashi Maru test until now. What do you think of my solution?
    Kirk: Spock.
    [Spock sits down]
Spock: I have been, and always shall be, your friend.
[he places a Vulcan salute on the glass]
    Spock: Live long and prosper.
    [Spock dies]
    Kirk: No.

    The Search for Spock

Sarek: Kirk, I thank you. What you have done is...

Kirk: What I have done, I had to do.
Sarek: But at what cost? Your ship. Your son.
Kirk: If I hadn't tried, the cost would have been my soul.

Captain Spock: My father says that you have been my friend. You came back for me.
Kirk: You would have done the same for me.
Captain Spock: Why would you do this?
Kirk: Because the needs of the one... outweigh the needs of the many.
Captain Spock: [begins to remember] I have been and ever shall be your friend.
    Kirk: Yes. Yes, Spock.
Captain Spock: The ship... out of danger?
Kirk: You saved the ship. You saved us all. Don't you remember?
Captain Spock: Jim... your name is Jim.
    Kirk: Yes.

That would receive a raised eyebrow from Spock and some response like "curious", unless it also happens to be Pon'farr, in which case the lap dancer had better beware.

In a world where you can pretty much make what you want in the replicator, I am not sure gifts of material things would hold any meaning. You would have to do something creative, like write a poem. Of course I wouldn't do that for a dude. So Spock is SOL.
