I've seen a lot of weird things in my day. But if I had to pick one?
I was in a mall when I was a kid hanging out with friends. I saw this couple walking, for some reason they looked strange so I watched them. Almost as if he felt me watching them he looked directly at me - I could feel he was looking at me. They walked behind a column and then disappeared in such a way that makes no logical sense.
I can only infer that either they were ghosts, that somehow I managed to see, or they did in fact just *poof!* before my very eyes.

Before making my point I want to state that I am NOT bashing this thread, that isn't my intent. I'm reading the stuff here and it's pretty cool, very enjoyable and I want to insert a related point. This is NOT a thread bash.
My belief in paranormal is so non-existent, I feel totally comfortable in creepy, spooky settings. Forests at dusk in the fog, vacant house cellars at night, stuff like that. I get weirded out when people are around - creepy people. Bad neighborhoods at night, etc.
my junk is ugly
In some cases, this is actually quite beneficial. When it comes to things spiritual, your faith in their existence, is also a measure of power they have concerning you.
For example, what damage could a strobe light possibly do to a blind man? Or a gunshot do to the ears of the deaf?
It isn't that your perceptions are broken, just attuned differently. And in many cases, sometimes there is just nothing there. It is tough to go legitimately ghost hunting, or delving into supernatural things when you have people who think there are kobolds around every corner. Imaginative people are hard to go with because they think everything is attributed to the supernatural.
Whenever I went, I always wanted a 'blind guy' to go with. It can act as a sort of shield and buffer against the more malevolent parties on the edge of reality.

I think this stuff happens a lot more to women.
