Moderation has nothing to do with politics, it has to do with the ability to be dispassionate and apply the same rules to all members regardless of personal feelings.

Apparently, that's what keeps getting the old ones kicked out. They use their "position" as a way to settle old grudges. ..but we'll see with this one.

Polly has demonstrable skills in that respect.

FYI - there have been no mods who have been kicked out. Those who have left have done so for their own personal reasons.

How come all the mods are Progressives? With the exception of Peter, that is, all of you are to the left.

It really does appear pretty biased, even if it's unintentional.



Yeah I gave her a chance awhile back, admittedly as a common poster, not a mod, but she wouldn't engage me in a discussion or anything on topics like the left's reversal of MLKjr's ideas of "content of character over color of skin" when they do things like Affirmative Action (Or "positive" discrimination) and the Obama administration hiring people based on gender or skin color.

She's just really flaky and I don't think making a flake a mod looks good on our forum.

If you're going to get someone from that side of the spectrum (again) why not have it be someone like @Chloe who isn't a flake and is actually (and it's sad how rare this is) a Progressive with respect and common decency. She even debates her points really well and seems very consistent.

Thanks, but Polly is nice, respectful, decent, never gets personal with people, and will do a good job as a moderator too in my opinion. Try to give her a chance please.
