    Urine was used for centuries to clean clothes believe it or not. It has ammonia or has ammonia like properties. For example, urine was collected by ancient Roman launderers. Yeah, no $#@!.

    I had no idea. How dirty would something have to be for urine to make it "clean".

    I think they let the urine sit for a long time so that the ammonia became powerful. Ugh that must have smelled in the Mediterranean sun...
