At some point, it may actually become possible for scientists to recreate various dinosaurs, using the DNA that still--as strange as it may seem--survives in dinosaur fossils. However, this DNA is less than a complete strand; so it is really not possible, at this point, to make such a recreation.

And, of course, it begs the question: Even if it were possible, would we wish to do it?

After watching Jurassic Park I would say no.

I meant to say that Argentina has for some time been a hot bed of huge fossils such as that one is.

I recommend the book by Paleontologist Jack Horner of Bozeman Montana that details not only dinosaur history in the Montana area, but other parts of the USA and explains what America looked like at the time. A huge inland sea from the current Gulf of CA to Montana was there.

If anybody needs the name of the book, I can provide it.

Argentina some years ago became a fossil rich area and I am not surprised by the find. They have also found other very large dinosaurs there.

Horner is the scientist that came up with the idea that dinosaurs are relatives of birds.

There is also the theory (that has gained traction among paleontologists in recent years; and that is in no way mutually exclusive with the theory as concerning birds) that dinosaurs were not really reptiles, but were warm-blooded creatures...
