Brackets can change the outcome of a computation, but there were no stinking brackets. Did you see any brackets? I didn't see any brackets, and therefore you go by the order of operations, like I said before. There is no, "It depends where you put the brackets".

On the 2nd one, I think you're wrong and I think the whole internet is wrong. You are taking 1, like 1 pie, and you are dividing it into infinite pieces. You cut it in half, and then quarters, and eventually millionths and trillionths, but you never stop cutting it. And you can't cut zero. Fortunately, you never get to zero, though you get closer every time you cut. There has to be something there to cut, if you're cutting, and there is something, because when you cut something up an infinite number of times, you never stop cutting.

Agree on one, disagree on two. It's early calculus, limits, as x approaches infinity, 1/x approaches zero, .

Hey, I need brackets! I don't want to remember stinkin' rules. Agree with point number two.
In quoting my post, you affirm and agree that you have not been goaded, provoked, emotionally manipulated or otherwise coerced into responding.

Approaches, but never actually touches. I know I stand alone on this one, but someday the world will recognize my veracity! They'll call it the Heyduke solution. You'll see.

Theoretically, yes, but for all practical purposes, who'd want such a small slice of pie?

I would. A small slice of pie is better than no pie

I'm a horrible mathematician, but since infinity has no end point, division of infinity would continue infinitely, so while one might approach zero to the point where is no "real" distinction practically, it still would never be zero.
