It took every ounce of willpower to not respond to my brother posting this on FB this morning. This Green Beret goes off on Paltrow for her comparing tweeting to war. That is what we call a simile my friends. Just because you compare something to war doesn't mean it is war. We have become so engrossed in what people say and how they say it that people can't make a simple statement without flak.Movie star Gwyneth Paltrow is catching a lot of flak for comparing negative Twitter comments to fighting in a war.
Also, this reminds me of the Islamic Jihad. The internal war. For me, my biggest battles are internal ones. We have a saying in my faith.
“some of the greatest battles will be fought within the silent chambers of your own soul.”
I really do believe this because I have lived it. And perhaps for Paltrow her greatest battles are when people say negative things about her. You have to hand it to Mr. Green Beret though, he has passion. You can't compare battles. Everyone's battles are different and most of us will never have to go to "war."
