When you were in school were kids expelled for bringing toys to school? Or were the toys merely confiscated by the teacher and returned at some future time? Did the kids have to have hearings because they brought a toy to school?

To be honest I'm surprised that there hasn't been a move to ban toy companies from making toy guns or going after parents who buy them for their children. The next logical step is to charge parents with child abuse for letting their children go to school with anything that could get their children suspended or expelled.
