My position isn't faith based...food for thought Mister D.

It's relevant, because he'd walked on water, materialized fish out of thin air, turned water into wine, whether it's a Greek or Aramaic translation blunder or not is a possibility given what was understood in that day and age, you know, the Earth was flat and so on...they weren't exactly bastions of scientific knowledge back in the day, a whole lot was still either misunderstood or not known at all, religion did well to fill that void.

He was a contemporary of Zombie Jesus, before that he was killing the disciples of Jesus in droves, which you've gotta wonder how reliable was Paul, being that the only Jesus he ever knew of was resurrected, fresh from the grave walking dead Jesus.
Zombie, Paul was probably around the same age as Jesus according to your own citations and comments! You don't know what you're talking about and are now just arguing for the sake of arguing.

The position that Jesus existed as a historical personage is not based on faith, silly. Do some reading and stop pretending you know the topic. You don't and you proved it for us with your comments regarding Paul.

As for walking on water etc. you're still not making sense. Whether those stories seem believable to you or not is irrelevant. Whether Jesus performed the miracles in question has no bearing on whether or not he was a real person. LOL Son, you're dismissed. After your poorest states fiasco I know better than to waste my time.

No one said he knew an alive Jesus. Don't hurt your back moving those goalposts, son.

We're now talking about Paul, the slayer of Jesus decipels til he himself became one, according to him during Christ's resurrection...were you arguing and if so, about what exactly?

My position is that the concept of a "Jesus" was borrowed, which isn't what you fellas tried to dismiss but instead played the Presbyterian Church of Coral Springs literature or not knowing Paul didn't actually know Jesus any more than you do cards.

Miracles? lol, that'll make it all better, more believable, how is it that those "miracles" prove that there was an actual real life Jesus Mister D?

The flow of the thread hasn't really hasn't gone into any detail regarding the similarities between other religions of that era, instead you fellas getting bent about Zombie Jesus satire, which is wasting time, even your pal Alias thought my religious beliefs were relevant to the discussion, you didn't chime in on that though...good for you.

I didn't have a poorest states fiasco, you had a hard time understanding what was posted debacle pops.

Haven't checked this thread in 30 pages. Has anyone been converted? Anyone gone from worship of God to worship of the State? Vice versa?

The state in and by itself is the ethical whole, the actualisation of freedom; and it is an absolute end of reason that freedom should be actual. The state is mind on earth and consciously realising itself there. In nature, on the other hand, mind actualises itself only as its own other, as mind asleep. Only when it is present in consciousness, when it knows itself as a really existent object, is it the state. In considering freedom, the starting-point must be not individuality, the single self-consciousness, but only the essence of self-consciousness; for whether man knows it or not, this essence is externally realised as a self-subsistent power in which single individuals are only moments. The march of God in the world, that is what the state is.
    ~G.W.F. Hegel

You'd think liberals could come up with something better than a cheap imitation.
