Obama Sticks Up for Ann Romney......

WASHINGTON (AP) — President Barack Obama is sticking up for Ann Romney, the wife of Republican rival Mitt Romney and the target of a Democratic operative who suggested that she's unqualified to speak about the economy's tolls because she's "never worked a day in her life."

"It was the wrong thing to say," Obama told WCMH-TV in Columbus, Ohio. Criticism of candidates' spouses should be out of bounds, he added.

Then Obama elevated the discussion, reflecting an intent to leave nothing to chance when it comes to one of his most loyal constituencies. For the first time this year, he and his Democratic allies were on the defensive on women's issues.

For her part, Rosen at first buckled down and refused to apologize. But after Mrs. Obama tweeted her support for all mothers, Rosen said she was sorry to have offended Mrs. Romney or any other women.

A parent herself, Rosen said her point, stated poorly, was that Ann Romney had the luxury of choosing whether to work outside the home, whereas most American women must work to pay the bills.....snip~

Lets hope more like Rosen and keeps on opening their mouth. Obama did right. So Rosen caves on the apology but still tries to get a lick in. Did Rosen think that others should be concerned that Women had to work to pay bills. Did Rosen fail to mention single women as oppose to married women?

IMO OBama should have came back with another tweet to Rosen. Telling her to STFU, and don't ever make my azz look bad again. Course I would rather hav all these drones causing more flack for him to deal with.

Although it is just damage control, I give him credit for a good statement here. And I think he really believes it.

If I were married to Moochelle, I'd want everyone not to notice her either. Or those endless high dollar vacations at the expense of the taxpayers, a fifth of whom are unemployed or under employed after 3 + years of Obamaprosperity.

I'm not a mother but even I know it was a stupid thing to say. Don't knock motherhood.

But it was the mantra of the feminist movement since the 1960s.
