Obama Calls On Congress to Pass Buffet Rule Tax......

WASHINGTON (AP) — President Barack Obama is calling on Congress to increase taxes on millionaires, reviving a proposal he first pitched last September that aims to draw sharp election-year lines between the president and the Republican opposition.

He knows it's not going anywheres. Plus to top it off He knows as a Constitutional Attorney about targeting specific groups of people when it comes to that Constitution. Which the Libs and left knows but would throw out the window. So they can get more of their hands into other peoples money.

As a result of being brainwashed and lied to by the leftist media, the population seems to think they have the right to steal even more from the people who pay 90 percent of the income tax now. This is just one of the many reasons I think the U.S. is basically finished. From the government to the schools to the media, America has been taken over by a pack of liars who are hell bent on turning it into one of those failing European welfare states.

I don't know but Congressman Peter King called him out on it and told him go ahead and just write that check out to the IRS instead of paying millions in attorney fees to avoid paying those taxes. Wonder just how many shelters he does have?

The Buffett Rule, a bill backed by President Obama that would ensure millionaires pay a comparable tax rate to middle-class Americans, fell to a Republican filibuster in the Senate this evening, despite a new poll showing it to be overwhelmingly popular. While the rule, named after billionaire investor Warren Buffett, earned a majority vote of 51-45, it didn’t get the 60 votes needed to overcome a GOP filibuster. Sen. Susan Collins (R-ME) was the only Republican to vote yes, while one Democrat, Mark Pryor (AR), voted no. Sen. Joe Lieberman (I-CT) did not vote, but put out a statement opposing the bill. The vote is no surprise as Republicans vowed to block it, but Democrats wanted to put the GOP on the record as yet again filibustering to preserve lower tax rates for the wealthy. A CNN poll released today found that 72 percent of Americans — including 53 percent of Republicans and almost 70 percent of independents — support the Buffett Rule.

The Buffett BS is based on lies, dishonesty and appeals to envy and ignorance.

My tax bracket is 35% on earned income and 15% on investment income. The top bracket hits at 388,350+ for single or Married filing jointly.
the top end for 28% is 178K or so, 33% is 388,350. In other words, no one making under 400K (with NO DEDUCTIONS) is paying an EFFECTIVE RATE OF 30% because

you pay 10% on the first 8700
    15% on the amount from 8700-35, 350
    25% on 35,350-85,650
    28% on 85,650 to 178,650
    etc

No way anyone but someone in the top 1% is paying an effective FIT rate of anywhere near 30%

Are you guys really that concerned for the folks who would be affected? I sure am. These poor millionaires carry enough burden. It's time the rest of us start contributing, and stop acting as if our laboring to contribute to their wealth is good enough. After all, they work much harder than us to keep their income, and they remind us that we can all be millionaires some day. They really deserve a break, f'real.

Faith can move mountains, but don't forget to bring your shovel.
