    I no longer talk to Obama...

    This just in from the leader of Turkey...a US ally... I thought Obama was supposed to shore up the image of America... Annnnnnd fail..

    Istanbul (AFP) - Turkish Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan said he has stopped talking to US President Barack Obama on the phone, amid growing strains between Ankara and Washington over Syria and the Gaza conflict.

    Normally a US president would not talk directly with the Turkish PM unless it was important and we wanted something from them. Turkey is on the side of the rebels in Syria, and the rebels in Syria are dominated by various flavors of Islamists.

    I imagine the decision to push these calls to a lower level came from Washington. Not Ankara.

    Only in America.... could the rich people - who pay 86% of all income taxes - be accused of not paying their "fair share" by people who don't pay any income taxes at all.

    It seems like Turkey wants US intervention, which is exactly what majority of Americans do not want. If the Turkish PM doesn't want to talk to Obama/the US anymore because of it, well, tough $#@! I guess. It sucks that they're having to take in so many refugees and deal with the conflict right on their border but the expectation seems to be the US will intervene or they'll stomp their feet.
