So, it is no state nor has a government. It's just some part where some live.

I remind you that the South is not in charge of the United states.

There's no Kurdish state, either. Would you argue Kurdistan isn't a nation by account of that?

Well, let me amend that statement. Anyone can freely live in Israel and call it home, but from a religious standpoint, religious Jews are supposed to be still in exile, not supporting Zionists.

"The word itself derives from "Peleshet", a name that appears frequently in the Bible and has come into English as "Philistine"."

But, the Philistines were basically Phoenicians or other members of a world dominated by the Greeks in later years. There is no Palestine, no Palestinian culture, and there was no great Palestinian empire before the Jews returned.

After WWII, the mostly undeveloped area was given to the Jews, upon which time vitually all Jews were expelled from neighboring Islamic countries. Many more Jewish refugees were created with the establishment of the Jewish State than Arabs, or so-called Palestinians.

There are probably more 'Palestinians' in the Levant today than before the creation of Israel, because the Israelis have created a buttload of jobs there, including the tourism industry patronized by Westerners.

You know what, I'm not a Jew, and I'm not oblivious to the horrors of the conflict on either side, but according to today's standards I guess you could place me in the Zionist camp.

And it was the home of, variously, Canaanites, Bedouins, Arabs, Romans, Crusaders and Greeks whilst the Jews went AWOL for a few millennia.

What did the Zionists 'recreate', anyway? The Israelites of 100BC weren't a motley crew of pale socialists sat around drinking soda and watching Spongebob on makeshift kibbutzim.

The Israeli state and its western backers are responsible for this conflict and virtually every other conflict in the region, from Libya, to Syria, to the Ukraine, they are all the byproduct of decades of neo-con hubris and intervention in the region which has lead to the displacement and death of millions of people. This is just a continuation of that.

The total population of the region was about 600,000 before the establishment of the Jewish State. There is no foundation to your statement that millions have been displaced. Factor in the fact that many many Jews were displaced during and after WWII from the surrounding Mullahtocracies, and we're probably talking about an even number of refugees created on either side.

If you're arguing that Israel shouldn't get financial assistance from the USA, I agree, but even that is exaggerated by Western media. We also send money to Egypt and Iraq, and one of the most powerful lobbies in US government is the Saudis.
