I saw a perfect game yesterday against my Mariners. The story of young man who pitched is a classic. Languishing in the minors after Tommy John surgery. Passed around from team to team. Then for one brief moment in time he is in the zone. Amazing to watch.

Well, baseball is a very intellectual game that requires thinking ahead 2-3 moves. Kinda like chess. Watching midgets $#@!ing is much easier to understand.

    Q. What's the definition of "clinging to false hopes?"
    A. being a Baltimore Orioles fan - (can't help it i recall like 40 years ago my home town, they actually had a decent team)

Still hate the Yankees, I'm cool with the Red Sox.

It reads as if it's a disaster for the Red Sox giving up a 9 - 0 lead, that it was the Yankees is all the more better...

    Gee - no kidding, Socrates.

Too bad other sports don't involve developing strategies.

I never thought someone would throw a perfect game against a team with Ichiro (though he's really lost a step, hasn't he?).

Now had it been against my Padres, that would have been no surprise.

I'm a Padre fan...so yeah, I can relate. Heck, even the Nationals are putting some nice stuff together. Not so much here in San Diego.

This isn't Bobby V's fault, but I think with him as manager this season won't go well for them. Can't say it bothers me too much.
