Bill Clinton Endorses Obama for the Presidency.....

MCLEAN, Virginia (Reuters) - Former President Bill Clinton gave a rousing endorsement of fellow Democrat Barack Obama in his first 2012 campaign appearance with the president on Sunday night, and helped him raise more than $2 million.

I think he's done a good job," "We are going the right direction under President Obama's leadership."

"I didn't run for president simply to get back to where we were in 2007. I didn't run for president simply to restore the status quo before the financial crisis. I ran for president because we had lost our way since Bill Clinton was done being president," Obama said.

Clinton applauded Obama's efforts in healthcare, clean energy promotion and student loan reform, and argued that employment levels were rebounding quickly from the financial and mortgage crises that took hold before Obama took office.

Tickets to Sunday's outdoor reception cost $1,000 and up, and Obama and Clinton later addressed a more exclusive dinner at McAuliffe's home for 80 people who paid $20,000 each. The money went to a fund supporting Obama's re-election, the Democratic National Committee and several state Democratic parties.....snip~

Seems Bilbo is blind. So now he has Officially endorsed Obama. Clinton says Unemployment levels are rebounding quickly. Quite the lie there.....huh? This was all set-up by McAuliffe. Another Clinton drone.

As the New coverage reports. Obama needs this endorsement. 1000 dollars and on up just to get into the event. Then a little after dinner party at McAuliffes house where that invitation is at 20k a pop.

Now hows that.....Obama and crew are looking out for the little people? He cares for the 99% right? Thats why now he is saying he ran for the Presidency all because of Bilbo the Clown. Funny thats not what he said when he began his campaign the first time around.

    More like deliberately dodged.

Apple Used Low-Tax States, Foreign Tax Havens To Dodge $2.4 Billion In Taxes Last Year
Sales of iPhones, iPads, and iPods have made Apple the world’s most profitable technology company — its stock price is hovering around $600 a share, and it is now larger than the rest of the American retail market by itself. Apple often boasts about the number of jobs it has created in the United States; according to its own estimates, the company is responsible for a half-million American jobs.

What Apple hasn’t told Americans, though, is that an intricate financial set up utilizing low-tax states in the U.S. and offshore tax havens has allowed it to skirt billions of dollars in American taxes over the last decade. By setting up financial offices in states like Nevada — which has no income tax — and routing other profits through Ireland, Luxembourg, and nations in the Caribbean, Apple avoided an estimated $2.4 billion in American taxes in 2011 alone, the New York Times reports:

Apple’s headquarters are in Cupertino, Calif. By putting an office in Reno, just 200 miles away, to collect and invest the company’s profits, Apple sidesteps state income taxes on some of those gains.

California’s corporate tax rate is 8.84 percent. Nevada’s? Zero. [...]

Apple was a pioneer of an accounting technique known as the “Double Irish With a Dutch Sandwich,” which reduces taxes by routing profits through Irish subsidiaries and the Netherlands and then to the Caribbean
    . [...]

Without such tactics, Apple’s federal tax bill in the United States most likely would have been $2.4 billion higher last year
, according to a recent study by a former Treasury Department economist, Martin A. Sullivan.

I was reading about this yesterday. They use a number of methods.

The Luxembourg subsidiary, named iTunes S.ar.l., has just a few dozen employees, according to corporate documents filed in that nation and a current executive. But when customers across Europe, Africa or the Middle East -- and potentially elsewhere -- download a song, television show or app, the sale is recorded in this small country, according to current and former executives.

The country has promised to tax the payments collected by Apple and numerous other tech corporations at low rates if they route transactions through Luxembourg. Taxes that otherwise would have gone to the governments of Britain, France, the United States and dozens of other nations go to Luxembourg instead, at discounted rates.

In 2011, iTunes S.ar.l.'s revenue exceeded $1 billion, according to an Apple executive, representing about 20 percent of iTunes' worldwide sales.

Yes, and who do you think most of those Shareholders are representing? Think they are about the 99%ers. Hows that cheap labor they use overseas as well. Seems we do know where much of their donantion money went to here in the US.....huh?

But do you think Bill Clinton should be up on stage talking about we have rebounded back quickly. As they also released that less small buisnesses started up and have not been hiring. That Obama's Leadership is taking us in the Right Direction?
