Well, I said words were exchanged. You cannot predict the actions of a mob, but if you're a marine you are likely trained in mob psychology. I'm not blaming him or excusing the mob but it might be that he said things that he shouldn't have in the circumstances. That doesn't make him guilty, but neither does it make him smart. Certainly the mob behavior was reprehensible and they need to identify the killers and prosecute. At the end of the day however, I do think, based on the scant info in the news story, it might have been avoided.
In quoting my post, you affirm and agree that you have not been goaded, provoked, emotionally manipulated or otherwise coerced into responding.

This logic is akin to blaming scantily clad women for getting raped.

    The Trayvons beat him down.

    I was with you here.

    The Trayvons beat him down.
Then you lost me. Trayvon was walking home. No proof of burglary and some guy that he did not know was neighborhood watch, just a Hispanic dude, was following him. If it was a white women walking home and someone following without saying anything in the night and she fought him and killed him no one would have said anything.

Two dudes and the more "thugish" one gets the blame. Personally, I think that was a tragedy of two men with egos meeting in the night.
And if we should die tonight
Then we should all die together
Raise a glass of wine for the last time
Calling out father, prepare as we will
Watch the flames burn auburn on the mountain side
    Desolation comes upon the sky..

I think and @Ethereal and @Codename Section can answer, but only the ones policing get that training. The others are told they're 10 ft tall and bullet proof.

Anyway, I'm sleepy. Night night all.

Never let your guard down, and never leave home without one of these...

Power always thinks it has a great soul, and vast views, beyond the comprehension of the weak. And that it is doing God service when it is violating all His laws.
