Pentagon: Fighting ISIS in Iraq Costs $7.5 Million a Day

    http://www.nbcnews.com/storyline/ira...on-day-n192051

The United States' military operations against ISIS militants in Iraq have cost an average of $7.5 million per day since they began in mid-June, the Pentagon said Friday.

That means the department would have spent about $500 million since it became directly involved in fighting Islamic State of Iraq and al-Sham terrorists.

"(The cost) has varied since the beginning in mid-June," said Rear Admiral John Kirby, Pentagon press secretary.

"But on average it's costing about $7.5 million per day ... that's based on a snapshot of the operations that have occurred as of the 26th of this month."

Kirby said the operations are being "supported through our overseas contingency funding.
We're well within the limits that we need for 2014."

In 2007, when the U.S. was actively fighting different insurgents in Iraq, the military costs were estimated to be about $720 million a day.

A Brown University study in 2013 estimated the total cost of the war to be at $2.2 trillion.

That figure included care for veterans who were injured in the war — which researchers said could add up to $500 billion through 2053.

Almost all of ISIS military hardware are captured U.S. equipment Bush gave to the Maliki Govt.

ISIS doesn't have an Air-force or Navy ... so let those who are in direct danger put their own Boots on The Ground.

    Otherwise we should launch ....

    Some say donkeyphant.

This is the system as it is. Not as you wish it to be. Not as it can be. It just is.

We have those who make a post living on pretending a 3rd party would be different. The system now in place can't allow it to happen.

If we had Ron Paul and or his son as president, nothing would change. Name a Libertarian and were he president, nothing would happen to make you happy.

    Those are just simple facts.

It is called living in the real world.

    this is not possible.

Obama promised to end the wars when he was elected the first time.

And as commander and chief he does not need the permission of congress to bring the troops home!

So either Exotixs is lying, or this is Obama's war too!

And when he sends troops back into Iraq, just watch and see the liberals talking about how justified the new war in Iraq is

BTW Exo, that title is correctly written, "How much ARE Bush's perpetual wars..."

"wars" is plural, hence one uses "are" the plural not "is" the singular.

    You're welcome.

You would sound much more sane if you simply laughed it off like Rancid, Maincoons and some of the other nutcases ... heck, where's the usual *Bush isn't in office anymore so it's Obamas' fault/wars* delusional rancor ...

    LOL

The day Obama refused to end the wars is the day they stopped being Bush's and became Obama's.

Ok look, another *Blame Obama for Bush Wars* pundit ... however, your buddy Pat Robertson has you beat ... LOL

Pat Robertson giddy that ISIS is bringing about End of Days

    http://wonkette.com/558598/pat-rober...phecy-together

ISIS is a bunch of unstoppable murderous thugs trying to drag the Middle East into a New Medieval Order, and Pat Robertson couldn’t be more tickled by the prospect.

You see, children, Brother Pat is excited by their goal of unifying Iraq, Syria, and chunks of Egypt into a radical Islamist caliphate, because he’s pretty sure that would fulfill a prophecy from Isaiah 19:

In that day there will be a highway from Egypt to Assyria.
The Assyrians will go to Egypt and the Egyptians to Assyria.
The Egyptians and Assyrians will worship together.
In that day Israel will be the third, along with Egypt and Assyria, a blessing on the earth.
The Lord Almighty will bless them, saying, “Blessed be Egypt my people, Assyria my handiwork, and Israel my inheritance.”
