The Catholic tells me the same thing, as does the Lutheran, the Baptist and the Jehovah's Witness. There is no clear-cut, kosher way of reading the Good Book, and the division wouldn't exist if there was.

It isn't "much of Europe" - It's Northern Ireland - where the Protestants and Catholics have been killing each other for decades.

You have me out of context. Most of Europe is post-religion. I agree with you about the Northern Ireland issue. But that is an exception to the rule.

All across Europe the young people are increasingly embracing fascist ideas. All they need right now is for someone charismatic to come along and marshal them to a common cause. It is happening here too on a smaller scale. When the anger and hate hit critical mass the atrocities will begin in earnest.

I think that they are accepting nationalism. Fascism is much more, and I doubt they are moving that direction.

I have seen too many pictures of crowds doing the Nazi salute in public to be on board with that.
