    You guys...

The other side is always wrong and your side is always right. I'll let you guys have your party in this thread. I wasted enough time looking up links and providing an argument that consisted of something more than "they're wrong, we're right, Sowell said so".

And if we should die tonight
Then we should all die together
Raise a glass of wine for the last time
Calling out father, prepare as we will
Watch the flames burn auburn on the mountain side
    Desolation comes upon the sky..

Again, I can tell that you read nothing that I posted. It is not a contest between he and Rachel Maddow. I pointed out the flaw in their logic which you didn't bother to read after asking me for it (which is rude by the way--don't ask if you don't intend to read because I wasted 10 minutes of my life responding to you).

My point is that he's making a failure of logic with his believing correlation is equal to causation. That's a no-no.

I presented alternative reasons he has not addressed. In other words, like other media personalities he's using his own confirmation bias because I saw no indication that he looked for any other reason beside what he already believed.
I read everything you post. If that is true, why did you make that statement about Maddow to begin with?

You haven't backed your point up. That's my point.

He is far from the only influential black saying this. Do a little looking around.

Some of the media is not playing the censorship game:

    http://www.startribune.com/opinion/c...223696071.html

These acts of unspeakable violence perpetrated by black offenders on white victims rarely get much media attention, for fear of “subjecting an entire group of people to suspicion,” as one well-known newspaper editor recently put it.Yet they are no statistical anomaly. While most violent crime is indeed intrarracial, 26.7 percent of homicides where the victim is a stranger are interracial. And in 2008, the offending rate for blacks (24.7 offenders per 100,000) was seven times higher than the rate for whites (3.4 offenders per 100,000), according to the latest figures from the Bureau of Justice Statistics (BJS).
Accounting for population differences, whites are simply far more likely to be victims of interracial crime than blacks. That, of course, didn’t stop Jesse Jackson from telling the Los Angeles Times at the height of the Zimmerman frenzy that “targeting, arresting, convicting blacks and ultimately killing us is big business.”
The data, once again, suggest something quite different.
In the mid-1990s, the Center for Equal Opportunity analyzed 55,512 felony cases filed in state courts for the 75 largest counties, representing 37 percent of the U.S. population. The weighted data, taken from the BJS, revealed that juries actually acquit blacks at a higher rate than whites for 12 of the 14 types of crime studied — including murder, rape, robbery and assault. The only category that had a higher conviction rate for African-Americans was felony traffic offenses.

I do think the major media suddenly find some scruples when whites are either the victims of a racially motivated attack or simply uninvolved. I think it's true that black on white crimes are ignored because our handlers fear it will encourage fear of blacks and spread racism. I also think the violence between blacks and Hispanics is ignored. For example, racial brawls are not uncommon in CA schools but never make national news. If whites were involved they almost certainly would.

Why doesn't someone answer Wash's question about why white people don't try to bring national attention when their kids are killed by cops?

People act like national news papers react everytime a black kid is shot by a cop and I think we pretty much all know that's not true.

Most blacks and whites in the US would not even know they are being persecuted if their favorite "news programs" didn't tell them how to feel.
conservatives of the pale nature would be an excellent band name.

And that's my point. Because the media is chocked full of race pandering liberals, they deliberately do not report these stories in an even handed manner. It isn't an organized conspiracy, it is the result of a state of mind in the media because most of the reporters are liberals.

It does no one a favor. All it does is erode what little credibility the media have left. The stories are getting out over the internet. People are getting pissed about things like the knock out game and the pretense that it doesn't exist. Among other things, this media malpractice causes the general population to be less sympathetic and willing to do something about the real incidences of serious cop murders of blacks.

Like Powell, for instance. Forgotten, pathetic Powell who found two thug cops far too willing to help him commit suicide by cop.

I think the mainstream media is very conscious of what they report and don't report. ABC even went so far as to edit the 911 call in the Travon incident to try to make a person they thought was white look like a racist.
