How do you even get suspended for suspicion without being tried or convicted? That's a $#@!ing joke. Gooddell is a leach that will kill the game.

Mark my words, if he isn't booted, he will damage the NFL to the point that it will eventually lose its massive lead over the MLB and NBA. That seems like a lofty assertion, but I believe that he will in due time. Now, this situation may be a dubious at best one to out him, but they need to take it and run with it before he destroys the league.

They had 2 Monday Night Games (stupid) this week and they still will have a Thursday Game ... over doing it

It's a racial issue.

The NFL is getting leaned on by special interests for cracking down on black people, even though the majority of players in the NFL are black.

Look back to Ben Roethlisberger's 4 game suspension a couple years ago for being accused (not tried or convicted or even legal proceedings) of sexual assault.

Now I'm not defending Ben, he's a dumbass, I've made that statement before but he was simply just accused and got dinged for 4 games.

Rice smacked his ol'lady around and got what, 2? Then after "the tape" hit the airwaves suddenly, "oh wait...".

Nah, sorry - I'm not trying to make this a black/white thing or whatever, I just stand back and look at what's happening. Ben was an easy target, convenient scapegoat.

I guess my point is - the NFL is a $#@!ing joke. The NHL commish must be doing cartwheels over all this bull$#@!.

Goodell is just showing himself to be the indecisive idiot he is. Legal proceedings were over in April. It's September. He suspends Rice for two games. Then he sends around an internal memo -- 6 games for domestic violence. THEN, the video comes out and he suspends Rice indefinitely.

His actions are that of a marionette, dancing to accusations by the media and/or self-interest groups. Everything he has done so far is wrong on more than one level. This latest knee-jerk reaction after the fact is as stupid as his first.

I don't condone Rice's behavior. That's not the point. he point is he was punished by the law, and the NFL. The NFL had policy, They changed that policy. Then changed Rice's punishment after the fact.

Conclusion: Media "faux-trage" dictates NFL policy. But the, it dictates US government policy, so not so shocking.

I just wish the media would shut up about it.
