    Here's a better version. It WAS an isolated incident and is not the school district's policy. Just some rent-a-cops feeling inferior.

    odd...my son was in the JROTC for all 4 years of high school & he was never denied admittance (or his commanding officer) to school grounds. We see a couple of stories a week on the news of military returning from active duty where the schools cooperate in planning surprise return parties for the children. The military people all seem to be wearing whatever uniform is appropriate for their branch.....

    Hey, the Supt apologized. If it is policy, the school board can review it. If it isn't policy someone either just made a mistake/misinterpreted policy. Hardly the end of the world. Yeah, it would piss me off, but there are hiccups in life every day. Move on.
