If someone just surfs the web, posts in a forum, and watches youtube videos and Netflix or Hulu, this build would kill it for several years down the road. And it is mini-itx, so it's a way smaller machine.

Funny, with the gpu added, the price came out to $666. LOL
Thanks. I will certainly consider this website when I'm ready for my next desktop.

OK Exo, I have a new build

Specs: i9-9900K, RTX 2080Ti Strix, Asus Maximus XI Gene Matx motherboard, 32GB of 3600Mhz DDR4 with cas latency of 15, 2TB M.2 NVME ssd, Corsair H115i Platinum AIO, extra 3-pack of Corsair ML LED Pro fans, Corsair Commander Pro fan controller, Corsair LED hub, and for the case, it's all packed into the Fractal Design Meshify C Mini.

First off, even though the case does say it can fit a 280mm rad in the front panel, that is bs if you put a graphics card like this in it. The Strix card is too long. So, I mounted the fans on the outside, with just the radiator on the inside of the front panel. I still am awaiting some magnets in the mail to make removable front panel standoffs so I can get the dust filter on it. I also had to carve out just a narrow strip of plastic with a hacksaw blade to get the 140mm front fans in place

This thing is fast as greased lightning. 8 cores and 16 threads, all running upwards of 5GHz. In games, at 4k, with ultra settings, I am pegging the 60fps mark that my tv supports in game mode. I can see a point in some games where the anti-aliasing might need turned down slightly to keep 60 Hz running strong, but I can see this thing having no problems gaming at 4k for years to come.

The motherboard had all the connectivity I was looking for in a micro atx package, but I had to order it through New Egg and it shipped from the UK. Still, it got here before any of the other parts from California. The wiring for the fans with the Commander pro and the RGB Hub was a friggin nightmare, but finally got it ironed out. Temperatures on this are better than similar builds I have seen with these same parts, probably because of the way I have the airflow set up. All in all, this is a bad-a$$ build, and I thought it would do your thread justice

Total cost, after taxes and some shipping, $3600.10 So, total cost, 1 arm and 1 leg.... Satisfaction in having the fastest PC on planet earth, priceless!!!

If I could get a good antenna position, I would get a nice HAM radio (transevier) and connect it to the computer. Damn homeowners associations.

OH, I thought I should throw in a screenshot of idle temps. I thought the 9900k was going to be a beast to cool. It is not. LOL. I think I have gotten the CPU up to about 50C because of my fan profile. GPU stays under 60C. And it's quieter than my old system by far. I can hear the clock ticking over it at idle.

Disguise it as a flag pole I have an emergency 9v shortwave receiver all homebrewed from Charles Kitchen's regen, with some added features and tuning. I can't talk on it, but I can sure listen. Built in in a holiday cookie tin Might have to bust that thing out again.

I think I have all the study material I need, but I appreciate it I could take the test tonight and probably pass even without studying, I am, after all, Radio God. I started building Radios from scratch and used parts about 15 years ago. Spent hundreds of dollars building radios that could be had at any flea market for $1.50 LOL. Here, I dug it out and took some photos since I was working the camera anyways... It is totally glorious, if you don't look too closely

With a good ground and about 6 feet of antenna wire, the airwaves are my oyster. Hahaaaa. Currently set up for 40 meters, but I can adjust it to 20 meters. Looks like sh*t, but works amazingly well. Love those number stations out of Cuba, too. And with the atomic clock, as long as I have a 9 volt battery, I will never wonder what time it is.

Read the comments at the link about this antenna.

This is proof that whooty's posts cannot be taken at face value about anything. Ever.

Some like it and some don't. I linked it warts and all. So what? If you have to use an indoor antenna, this type is better than most.
