Not at all, Peter. I am not against technology and spent most of my working life dealing with technology. But I am also a realist. Fusion power would be a boon, but it always seems to be several decades in the future. It's a tough nut to crack, but I think, eventually, it will be cracked. However it won't be cheap power and I doubt it will be as safe as some would like to believe.
There are no theoretical underpinnings supporting cold fusion. It's possible commercial hot fusion will be available by 2050, but cold fusion? Not a chance.
Luddite? This from the guy who rejects medical science and buys into snake oil.
Right.
Our sun will burn out or explode. The earth, and everything on it at that time will be tiny particles traveling through the blackness. Over time, probably millions or even billions of years, those particles, molecules, will land on another planet and we start all over again. Just my opinion.
