Unless liberal progresive raise the minimum wage and reduce the number of entry level positions available.

The minimum wage pushes the unintelligent, the unskilled, and the feeble out of the work force. Or at least some of them. Isn't this the people that are supposed to benefit?

Minimum wage is a price floor. Bottom line is that the 'welfare' system and the 'labor' system should be divorced from one another. There is no connection between the value of a person's labor and the value of a person's needs to the employer hiring somebody. A single person with no kids versus Octomom. If both are pumping gas, you're not going to pay Octomom more just because she needs more to feed 8 kids. The gas pumping job doesn't cost the American taxpayers anything, it's not what is creating the need. In fact, the job does what it should do, it reduces her reliance on welfare; a basic equitable requirement of the Marxian system of 'to each according to his need' FROM EACH according to his ability.

Democrats are always trying to change the meaning of words to suite their political agenda. They call tax cuts a subsidy and now they want to call business welfare cases if their employees go on government assistance. McDonald's and Wal-Mart pay corporate income taxes, their share holders pay capital gains taxes, and they pay payroll taxes, so why wouldn't they encourage their employees to utilize those programs?
Power always thinks it has a great soul, and vast views, beyond the comprehension of the weak. And that it is doing God service when it is violating all His laws.

Hey let's race to the bottom, I hear they pay $1.00 A day in china. Maybe we can get a big Mac on eBay!

no one ever agrees to work for $7.25/hr .....but they take it because its better than welfare or unemployment.

Good luck in that race, nic.

And, btw, I agreed to work for much less when I first started working, even considering inflation. Newspaper delivery, gas station pumping gas and changing tires, restaurant washing dishes. Raise the min wage and there will be less of those jobs.
