It did .. now, some time later he got another small spot so I went got another comfortis pill from the Vet ... $22 ... they're like massive pills you have to break into quarters and force feed 'em ... resulting in scratches on the hand and barf on the carpet ...

This one is quite good at faking like he took his pill then tries to escape to pootyee it ... I tell ya, this excursion ain't no fun ... LOL

Being forced to take a pill or, really anything against their will, offends a cat's dignity. Woe be to those of us who offend the dignity of the royal cat!

We have a few that can't be pilled. A marginal degree of success by grinding to powder and lacing into tuna or chicken. I finally realized how the vet makes it look so easy. Surprise. The cat doesn't see it coming that first time and offers minimal resistance. 12 hours later when you try the same technique the cat has formulated a ferocious defense and is ready.

Cats! Even trying to use ear drops (for mites) becomes a military campaign...you need a plan usually involving additional troops (for distraction), stealth strikes & fast retreat ability!

At least they are quick to forgive and forget. I hate being the bad guy so my wife usually administers the cruelty while I helplessly offer soothing encouragement. Half an hour later the cat is chumming up to my wife instead of me.
