my vote has absolutely no impact in national elections. The repub party could run Attila the Hun in a KKK sheet & Alabama would vote for him in an overwhelming majority. I'm thinking of voting for Matalese for president in 2016.

Republicans want to cut welfare because we believe it needs to be cut.
Democrats only want to cut the military while taxing corporations and the wealthy out the wazoo.
most repubs would support balanced cut that reduce every corner of the federal budget equally.
Does that sound crazy to you?
When I hear how the repub want to cut spending, eliminate pork, I always think of this:
The Gravina Island Bridge, commonly referred to as the "Bridge to Nowhere", was a proposed bridge to replace the ferry that currently connects the town of Ketchikan, Alaska, United States, with Gravina Island, an island that contains the Ketchikan International Airport as well as 50 residents. The bridge was projected to cost $398 million. Members of the Alaskan congressional delegation, particularly Representative Don Young and Senator Ted Stevens, were the bridge's biggest advocates in Congress, and helped push for federal funding.[1] The project encountered fierce opposition outside of Alaska as a symbol of pork barrel spending and is labeled as one of the more prominent "bridges to nowhere".[2] As a result, Congress removed the federal earmark for the bridge in 2005.[3] Funding for the "Bridge to Nowhere" has continued as of March 2, 2011, in the passing of H.R. 662: Surface Transportation Extension Act of 2011[4][5][6] by the House of Representatives. Please note, it still seems to be on track, even with the repubs still bragging about cutting out pork....

And yet here I am talking politics day in day out. Like I said, try it some time. You'r repetitive talking points don't cut it.

Couple this post with a similar one pointing out the dems hypocrisy on little things like WAR , corporate welfare and spying on the people and you can begin to see the truth about Washington
