    Pro Football remarkable plays

Who saw the St. Louis Rams trick Seattle? Wait a minute, did I say trick? How about two tricks. This link lets you see both of them.

Trick one. St. Louis held Seattle and was back in formation for the punt. Counting on the players on Seattle to not look up where the kicker kicked the ball, St. Louis players ran way over to one side of the field pretending the punt would fall on that side of the field. Some were back pretending to move under the football falling his way.

Surprise, surprise. The ball was kicked to the opposite side of the field and a receiver caught the football and with most of Seattle going the wrong way, bolted up-field and scored a touchdown.

Trick two is less spectacular but helped St. Louis win the game.

St. Louis stopped from progress set up to punt. The punter grabbed it as if to kick it but quickly set up like a quarterback and tossed a very good pass to a receiver. Seattle would have won had that play not worked. It was a high risk play per the announcers but to my eyes, it seemed just plain smart and worked easily.

Now, watch it for the fun of it.

Damn, my 49ers looked like a JV team compared to Denver. They played just awful.

That punt return for TD was amazing.

The sports casters really were shocked and kept talking about it. I don't recall seeing any pro team pull that stunt in the past.

Then I watched my 49ers get their clocks cleaned. They played like a cheap high school team.

We are missing some super players for a few more games. Our running game in my view is just not doing the job. I include the blocking for the backs too and don't simply blame the backs.
