Excellent opportunity for the people to take a stand. About 100,000 residents should take to the streets and feed the homeless tomorrow

wow! I had no idea that Houston was run entirely by the dem mayor...impressive how those wily dems took over management of the city with no con assistance...how do they do that in such a red state? I'm sure the good cons in Houston have been fighting to have this law overturned...right?

Just about every incorporated town/city in this country had/has ordinances against vagrancy. Nothing new here. Going after people that are feeding vagrants is a new one though. Reminds me of an incident here a few years back when Dayton was looking out for the well being of the homeless people. A small band of them was sheltering in an abandoned church. Now this structure did not have electricity or running water so it wasn't fit for occupancy. The vagrants were put out in the elements for their own good. It was the middle of winter and plenty cold out too. Doing what is right is not always in agreement with the law.
My beliefs are a distillation of what I was taught as a child and what I observe as an adult.

I don't know and apparently neither do you...the difference is I'm not blaming one side.

The "cons" obviously are not the ones who passed this law like you implied!

Hey dumbf*ck, pol was wrong... the mayor and city council are the ones who make city law in houston, not the cons.
