The more a company revolves around profit, the more it will tend to churn out nothing but sequels and remakes and rely on mind-numbing cliches to guarantee mass consumption of their products, not unlike in the film business. So trust indies more than the industry when you're looking for innovative new ideas. That's the main place you'll find the creativity!
