I'm sure avoiding the initial investment is a major factor. Unfortunately, maintaining the Mexicans is everyone's problem but the large financial interests insultate themselves from all the problems their favored policies cause. It's kind of like the white progressive who drives home to his lily white, upper middle class community and pats himself on the back about how much loves the colored people.

I disagree from what I've seen and it's only about 18 months in 3 years, but the Latin population seems to be more industrious and entrepreneurial at a scale that middles out at $100k than other groups. By that I mean to say that I've seen more than a few of this population creating landscaping, improvement, and even service truck "businesses". I doubt they'll turn them into million dollar a year or billion dollar a year companies, but they do seem to manage to do better than others in this regard.

They aren't doing well in our schools either and lets just say that we've long been a minority in our prison system. Will they be just like the Italians, Poles, and the Irish? Or will they be more like the blacks? The jury is still out but no nation governed by leaders who care about it would have taken such a gamble.
