I didn't say you did. But some have said things that are belittling about the LGBT crowd let's face it. It is undoubtedly hurtful to them and it should be stopped.

BTW, the word "denigrate", as I learned it at school, was meant to mean to belittle or to make disparaging remarks that are disrespectful to another person or group.

Yes! It is very easy. You would be extremely upset and rightfully so is someone said the same thing about you and your opposition to the people that believe that Marriage should only be for a man and a women.

You would not want to be silenced or told to go home and be a good boy, nor would I wish that on you!

Remember that your opinion is hurtful to others, just as their opinion is hurtful to you. Thus we have to work hard to protect the rights of both sides of these issues.

That is precisely why I have been in communication with one of the mods and have made a suggestion that I believe would help this situation tremendously and would curb all of the name-calling, bad language that is used in this forum, etc. from both sides.

Of course it will need more than one mod to support that proposal. And then the membership here should be made to understand that all name calling, etc. simply HAS to stop as it has been going on for too long a time now. Those who after learning about the new rule would continue in that vein would be taken action on including a permanent banning. I am still fairly new here compared to some of the more seasoned members but I have received a good share of the type of stuff I am hoping a new rule would do away with. Therefore, everyone could simply agree to disagree without having to attack one another in the process. What could be fairer than that?

Do tell me what you think of my proposal and if you and others would support it so that it can be formally presented to the mods with a CC: to the Admin.

Does this make them SO invalid that we relegate to Rainbow Room.. SERIOUSLY?

Banish this bullcrap forum and return all posts to current events.

The real current events with some kind of national interest belong in the Latest Happenings. The rest belong either in the stickied thread or in the appropriate forum. Otherwise we are flooding the Latest Happenings with marginally newsworthy items that are the equivalent of fireman gets cat out of tree.

Which hopefully can only mean that LGBT items may once again be democratically posted in whatever category the posting party feels is most appropriate I hope. Instead of throwing those items to the back of the bus as was once done which was quite inequitable.

It is on the serious side in gender, sexuality and race.
