Why is it so hard for politicians to understand?

If you have a family to run and you get 100 dollars (amount not intended to be realistic)

You have to decide what is the best way to spend it

    15 for food

    20 for shelter

    10 for clothing

    15 for utilities

    10 for transportation

    15 for education

    10 for medical

    5 for recreation

If you want to take a trip that cost 20 dollars you have to save up of take from something else

Now we have all of the politicians lining up to spend money that we don't have.

Sanders with his trillion for roads. Pelosi is beating the green energy drum. Republicans with tax cuts and military,

All great ideas but they need to take the pot of money and divide it, the deficits can't go on forever

They understand, they just don't care. Their self interests trump everything else. Nature of the beast.

Being a politician today is about getting elected and the money. Nothing more. They will tell us anything we want to hear for our vote.

You're thinking of how Obama voters spend the welfare check.

Food is provided by food stamps and shelter by Section 8 housing.

Which usually leaves a little for the necessities.

    I don't care.

McDonald broke the law and deserves to be in jail.

The government took out a Visa card with an unlimited line of credit.....us.
They can pander to their base, wave give away programs in front of them and secure their own poloical future. Now we are watching deficits and the national debt rise every minute.

Because we don't make them understand and there are no individual consquences for their gross mismanagement of funds
