Small cars have always been more dangerous that larger vehicles. Going back to that pos vega and ford pinto.

Years ago you hit one of the little pos in the rear they exploded the gas tank was right there in the back behind the bumper.

If a Mercury Marquis hits a small car guess who wins

I can remember when VW's were first commonly seen....my father swore that in a collusion with a German shepherd, the German VW would lose.

I've always owned a 2-door hatch stick speckmobile along the way be it a Tercel or a Fiesta or an Accent (I've owned 3 Hyundai Accents, have one now). I just like having a cheap, great gas mileage car for zipping around in.

Anyway, my wife was driving one of my earlier Accents to school one day on a really foggy morning when we lived in a Pittsburgh burb and didn't see the neighbors car in the cul-de-sac and hit the bumper. Didn't do anything to the neighbor's car but basically folded my hood almost in half. Just the hood, all I had to do is get one from the junk yard, no big deal. But before I could get it fixed a buddy of mine noticed it and said "you actually survived an accident in that thing"?
