And I just gave you one. GrassrootsConservative.

The facts do not back you up. Europe is 72% Christian, not even counting other religions. America is 73% Christian. 7% of Europeans identify as atheist, closer to 20% of Americans identify as atheists. According to the statistics, America is less religious than Europe.

Europe is 51% Christian. And in countries like Estonia 60% is non-religious.

GrassrootsConservative is not hostile towards religion. However if you consider his words as hostile, he is hostile towards everything that he disagrees. He is not a good example of hostility, because it goes more linked to his character than anything else.

I'm sorry, but if you say things like religion should be abolished and that it causes people to be evil, you're hostile to religion.

Well, if that is hostile then I am. And proud of it.

I'd say more apathetic than hostile...

I'm an atheist and usually find myself hostile to other atheists because they're actually not atheists they are anti-theists.

Actually, you're right, there are atheists and anti-theists.

However, even being anti-theist has a reason. The religion has been forcing his will and even now is it doing in many states of USA and many countries of the world. For example, in 8 states of USA atheists cannot serve in the office because one of the conditions is believing in some god.

Obviously, that hostility against freedom of religion is clear. Because that is not freedom of religion. And is obvious that it causes strong opposition to religion.

It also wouldn't change if the statement is true. The social implications of religious faith or lack thereof really depends on where you are geographically. Being an atheist in let's say Texas is definitely more controversial than being a fundie. But honestly as long as they aren't being violent toward you who gives a $#@! what others think be your own person.

What you are currently seeing in America is some overdue pushback. Christians have pretty much had their way in this country from day 1, and those days are starting to get away from them a bit. Finally.
