Mother Jones is a source with an agenda, I'm skeptical.

I'm no O'Reilly fan, trust me on that - he's a dickhole, but Mother Jones isn't a source who I trust, not in the least bit.

Sounds like a hatchet job to me so far.

Had Mother Jones gone after Geraldo Rivera or someone on that side of the aisle then maybe I'd pay more attention, until then I'll just listen from a distance.

Why? Is there evidance that they have lied about something?

Interesting....Brian Williams was accused of lying, didn't see anybody try to defend him, but those on the right were calling for his job. Bill O'Reilly is accused of lying, those on the right are in full blitz defense mode.

    SSDD.

I'm not going to explain it to you, you don't have a clue as to what the word "objective" means. Waste of time, sorry.

I trust Mother Jones, although I haven't read the article.

Predictable Buffoon tries to make Bill O'Reilly into Brian Williams.

This is incredibly pathetic, even for a liberal:
    http://www.rushlimbaugh.com/daily/20...brian_williams

So the same guy, David Corn at Mother Jones, used to work at The Nation. You've seen him on TV probably if you paid any attention in the last 15 or 20 years. David Corn claims that O'Reilly exaggerated his war stories when he covered the Falklands War 33 years ago. Thirty-three years ago. We've got a story that they're trying to make stick. This is exactly what I predicted, that in order to save Brian Williams, they would try to find examples of other people doing it so they could say, "Hey, everybody does it." Like Clinton and sex. "Everybody does it. It's no big deal." And in all this time, this is the best they can do, to go out and claim that O'Reilly lied about things 33 years ago covering the Falklands War.

But again, just to remind you, this charge was whipped up by David Corn at Mother Jones. Corn is, you may remember, he's the buffoon who claimed that Valerie Plame was a covert CIA agent that was intentionally outed by the Bush Administration to punish her idiot husband. When in reality it was her idiot husband who told everybody that she worked at the CIA where she was not a covert agent. And as we all know, it was Richard Armitage that originally leaked her identity to Robert Novak in the first place.

I'm confused. Are you guys saying that O'Reilly didn't lie about being in the middle of combat during the Falklands war?

Or, are you suggesting that there is some statute of limitations on lies that journalists tell, and, after that period of time passes, any lies they might have told are magically converted into the truth?

Are you suggesting that, if some investigative journalist found evidence that Walter Cronkite or Chet Huntley or David Brinkley had totally fabricated a story that was total fiction and passed it on to the America people as truthful news, that that story would somehow be completely irrelevant today?

    I'm confused.
