Post flu pedicure

No it's been a while since Ive had a flu shot, probably early high school I think, but this is the first time in forever that I've had the flu. It sure did beat me up though. I lost six and a half pounds when it was all said and done.

Rough way to lose weight!

As a frequent traveler, I'm a bit germophobic. Besides paying close attention to personal hygiene, I also make sure all of my vaccinations are up-to-date.

Still, glad you feel better. I've been very sick a few times myself and know it isn't a picnic.

Shortly after WW2 ended, I got super sick. My mouth had a terrible bitter taste. I lost my appetite. No matter what mom tried to get me to eat, it tasted the same, bitter and nasty tasting. Too long back to recall how long it lasted but to this day, I remember it very well. I had a horrible fever then too.

I get a flu shot every year now. I last had a flu episode maybe around 1999 or so. That did not burn my taste buds and it lasted over a week.

I haven't had the flu since the early 80's. I do get the flu shot yearly now. I didn't get a pedicure afterwards, I don't remember what I did other than rejoice that I was better.
