    Winter re-run or reality show?

Donald Trump tells strategists 'you're hired' for potential 2016 presidential run

An early obstacle Trump would face, should he indeed decide to run for the Republican nomination for president in 2016, would be wariness on the part of voters who have heard him talk before about such a run without ever seeing one materialize.
In 2008 and again in 2012, Trump touted the possibility over months of statements in the media. But then he did not run. By trusting his stated intentions once again, the electorate could risk being made a Charlie Brown, taking one more run at kicking the football only to see it, at the last minute, being pulled away again.

In the past, politicians such as Newt Gingrich, Mike Huckabee and Sarah Palin have been accused of running for president or talking about running for president in order to sell books or burnish a personal brand, instead of actually to win the presidency. Trump is said to enjoy being at the center of attention, which is where his talking about running for president sometimes places him, although he has other ways of getting there.

Trump told the Post he was serious this time.

No thanks, I'll watch "Reign" on The CW Network tonight.
It's ok if you disagree with me. I can't force you to be right.

I wish Trump would stay out of it. He dilutes the GOP message with his antics.

I wish the Dems would come up with someone better than old Hill. We need some new blood in DC. These same old recycled politicians are getting annoying.

There are a lot of good politicians, on all sides, why do we keep fawning over the same old same old?

Hillary is not Bill. Bill could work with both parties. He was personable. Hillary is caustic, has no personality and that forced, crazy cackle laugh is offensive. I question her decision making ability too and she doesn't have the strength of character to own up to her own mistakes.

I would have had much more respect for her if she had come out and said they screwed up in Benghazi and showed some sense of remorse for how it was handled.

We don't expect our politicians to be 100% perfect, but we should expect them to be 100% honest.

The lie is always worse than the deed.

I'm still suspicious that she is not going to run. I can think of no reason not to have announced. I wonder if she is waiting to see how the latest Bill-scandal plays out.

Trump tells Hannity there's a 75-80% chance he'll run for president!

And it would appear that he's canceling The Apprentice.

A welcome addition to the clown parade and time to stock up on popcorn!

    Latest Bill scandal?

Hmmmm, to me it's smart strategery. What would be the point of coming out before most Republicans haven't declared?

At best, you make yourself a target for about 27.5 other guys. At worst, by the time the election rolls around, everyone is sick of you.

In my mind, she'll be best to wait until June. It's not like money is going to be a problem for the Clinton machine.

What i HOPE is that she doesn't run unopposed. We need at least three other decent candidates for her to hone her message.

And what i hope even more? It's not Bush vs Clinton.

Hillary has been a target for the last 10 years so I don't see that being a real issue. I just don't believe her candidacy is carved in stone. Others in the dem camp? I think they are being quiet until she openly says yea or nay. They don't want to make an enemy. Even if she doesn't run, she will have a lot of influence in who actually does run. Everyone will want her support & organization.

I don't see anyone in the repub camp being able to overcome the Bush political machine. While the others are spending time & money fighting each other, Bush is going ahead like he has no competition. He comes out looking calm & confident....while the rest of them look kinda petty and disloyal to the party.

I'm hoping to find a third party candidate that I can support because I can just about promise if the choices are 'd' or 'r'...I'll stay home & clean out a cabinet or something else equally productive.

Agreed, it's a huge mistake to view Hillary as being "inevitable" or to have no competitors in the primary. That could turn into a snooze-fest.

And while there aren't any Barack Obamas waiting in the wings to spoil her chances, you never know. Warren could give her a helluva run for her money if she decided to jump in. She's a better debater.

I hope she does.. tired of Clintons and Bushes!
