    Agreed. Virtually all archaeological material has to be interpreted. I don't see the human element goign anywhere anytime soon.

    That is true, but this technology finds these locations. Then people have to go there. But it is more efficient that wandering around the jungle trying to locate something when you have no idea where it is.

    Of course. I don't disagree but then that's not really archaeology per se. Those intrepid souls, many of whom were amateurs, would be better described as explorers not archaeologists.
