    LIBERTARIAN

Libertarians support maximum liberty in both personal and economic matters. They advocate a much smaller government; one that is limited to protecting individuals from coercion and violence. Libertarians tend to embrace individual responsibility, oppose government bureaucracy and taxes, promote private charity, tolerate diverse lifestyles, support the free market, and defend civil liberties.

    Here's that Australian one:

Your economic freedom index is 7.5, and your social freedom index is 4.5.

This one is better: http://www.theadvocates.org/quiz/quiz.php. Try it. It's American. There's a map but not one I can add people too.

    Mine there comes out:

It's neither good. This one tends to the right and this system is not clear. And with 10 questions is impossible to make a good representation.

Libertarian: Rightist (100% answered the questions like favouring charity...)
    Leftist(liberal): Just with the 50%.

This one is 100% times worse than thepoliticalcompass. That like it or not, is the most complete and most exact I've seen. At least categorizes correctly the leftist libertarian and rightist libertarian.

PS: William, for what I've observed for now, you are leftist. And you've got surprised as many people would consider corporations are more important than other things (because they think that corporations are the ones who bring wealth).

    My result:

Your PERSONAL issues Score is 100%

Your ECONOMICS issues Score is 50%

I understand, the politicalcompass is more European, the short one American. That seems to both confuse and bother you, largely, I think, because you think only your definitions of political terms are valid. Sorry, they're not.

The problem is how inexact that is. I can get the same points in that one as socialdemocrat or an authoritarian.

As I said I am 100% for personal freedom and 50% for economic. It labels me liberal and equals me in the spectrum with people that has a more authoritarian tendency.

Why do I like more the political compass? It does not label you. Only says your tendencies, and in my opinion much better.

You are labeled in the right spectrum and libertarian. That is a good example how it works better.

It's like William said earlier, the questions are loaded with presumptions.

The two tests both place you in the same Nolan Chart.

I disagree. At least, the one in diagonal is much less clear and biased to the right than the other that from my point of view is much neutral (only depending how the questions are done).
