If I remember right, this quiz is a British Libertarian quiz so that might account for some left leanings.

I tried to find an image of French Foreign Legion soldiers being stripped of their rank for @Chris & @Peter1469...no luck. They will just have to be verbally stripped of their lib, lib, lib badges!

I wouldn't bother. The people who label us as liberal are idiots.

I wondered about that.... I don't think most of us are that far to the left (at least as I understand left). I know I'm a liberal on social issues but am more moderate to conservative on financial issues.

Terms like "left," "right," "liberal," "conservative," are all relatively meaningless in an American context. They have vastly different meanings elsewhere in the world. If Bibi Netanyahu was born an American and ran for President, he'd be jeered as a socialist, because in Israeli politics he is "right-wing" but, like pretty much all Israeli politicians, supports a strong welfare state and "socialized" healthcare. It's similar throughout Europe. American political divisions don't really exist anywhere else in the world.

You can take the test here: https://www.politicalcompass.org/test

If you want to be added to the chart above then post your results in this thread and mention me with an @Chris. With the help of moderators we'll keep this updated, and they will pin it for easy finding.

This was first started here in this thread: http://thepoliticalforums.com/thread...al-Crowd-Chart. The format changed so I took scores from there for currently active members who took test already and added above.

It's based on the Nolan Chart. You can read about that here: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nolan_Chart, or here: http://www.friesian.com/quiz.htm.

    Feel free to discuss below.
    Look who is on top.

The drift left is particularly interesting.

Yes, but I do think there must be some sort of skew on the "authoritarian/libertarian" axis and I seem to recall having brought something like that up in the old thread. The more left someone is the more authoritarian they are anyway.

/Edit: It's easy when you think about like Chloe and Polly and stuff. Those people are shown left/Libertarian on the chart, but we all know those two to be very authoritarian.

I wouldn't say the terms are meaningless just peculiar.

It's all subjective. I can say for a fact that nic34 is left of me, whereas maybe someone more extreme like Polly might wonder how he could be so far to the right. It's the same reason why so many in 2008 could have thought that Obama was a moderate. When viewed next to someone like the idiot we had in office for the previous 8 years he probably did look moderate. Now we see he's probably even more extreme.
