What's a character standard? Is that like the disposition matrix?

The policy on tattoos largely depends on the tattoos present.

But after that it is location. They are mostly concerned about things that are visible.

If you have offensive stuff on you, you'll have to get it removed.

Criminal background is what they are looking for, drugs and other nasty offenses. Somethings they can work with like...resisting arrest, and other petty municipality misdemeanors.

But if you're a rapist/pedo, assailant, drug user etc...not gonna happen.

Maybe they can retrain all the gangbangers, drug dealers, and murderers Bush/Cheney/Rummy recruited!

Well that's good then. But only when you have enough people to choose from. If there aren't enough people, they let anyone in. I remember a story of this guy who got a medal for jumping on a grenade. He shoved the grenade into the volcanic ash underneath him, it absorbed the blast, and he survived. Amazing. It was on Iwo Jima, and he was only 14. There was no way he should have been there. But they needed people.

I'm assuming with how the military is now, they wouldn't be able to just let anyone be a soldier because it's more high tech and you have way longer tours and such.

America let education fall to the wayside, and let the people eat pesticide ridden $#@!, and now the military has no one to choose from for it's big expensive gadgets and empiring.

Has the military-industrial complex rotted itself from the inside out?

So why were they allowed to enlist during the Iraq war?
