    You're absolutely correct.

After all, those on the right, with their criminal tendencies, and inability to tell the truth for 20 consecutive minutes, would never support the police.

Well, I don't remember doing so, but I probably did. My wife often points out that I have a tendency to be a bit of a $#@!, without realizing I'm doing it. She swears it's from having been on political boards of one sort or another since well before there was a world wide web.

In the event that happened, my apologies, sir.

Lord knows, it took me a long time to get through it. I'm actually surprised the Post let the reporter spend that much space on it.

I honestly don't know if it was incompetence, or indifference, or corruption. I could easily believe that one of the suspects was a CI of the detective who charged the girl with a false report. It would explain his actions. Or, a suspect could easily be paying the cop. I do know that, when we were living there, the DC cops were about as corrupt as a force could get. I remember hearing estimates that as much as 10% of the force was either working for the bad guys, or willing to ignore any crime committed by a CI who delivered at least minor information.

Cop should be fired and charged with child endangerment. Plain and simple.
